Shore Fishing on Anglesey

If your hobby is shore fishing, then you are going to be spoilt for choice with Anglesey being an Island! Anglesey has some amazing locations for fishing, along with some spectacular scenery as well.

It is impossible to name them all here, but we can certainly name a few of the more popular ones.

Shore fishing at Cymyran Beach near RAF Valley

Access to this great fishing location is by walking along the western side RAF Valley perimeter. The tide rushes past this beach and can be a great spot for Sea Bass, Grey Mullet, Flounder, Fry, flat fish and Rays. This location is a sandy shore which falls sharply into the sea with currents running up to 8knots.

Sometimes in quieter times of the year you might get some parking near the beach just after Annes Pantry on the right.

Access to this great fishing location is by walking along the Anglesey Coastal Path passing the Moelfre lifeboat station.

The tide rushes past these rocks and can be a great spot for Sea Bass, Grey Mullet, Mackerel, Fry. This location is a rocky shore which falls sharply into the sea.

Not only does this location have spectacular views of Puffin Island, it also has some pretty good shore fishing as well.

During the summer months Mackerel are a very popular catch here and during the winter Codling and Pollack are popular.
