Surfing on Anglesey

If you love Surfing, then Anglesey is a fantastic location for you! Whether your a novice or an experienced Surfer We have some amazing beaches for you.

The western side of Anglesey is the best option if your serious about surfing due to the exposed beaches and wind. Rhosneigr is a big place for surfing and has some great beaches for waterports.

Aberffraw beach is another great beach for surfing, but unfortuanately is quite a trek from the main car park, maybe 20 minutes, depending on what your carrying!.

Cable bay is a fantastic little bay and beach for surfing mainly as it is sheltered on either side by cliffs, this also helps concentrate the waves providing a better surf.

Broad Beach is just a little bit further up the coast from Cable bay, being a little nearer to Rhosneigr, and is another great beach for surfing, there is slightly more parking available and not to far away from the town centre.

Traeth Crigyll Beach is the beach which runs parallel with the sand dunes along side of RAF Valley and is an excellent beach for many water sports including surfing.

Rhosneigr has a fantastic shop about as close to the beach as you can get called Funsport, this shop has everything you need for watersports and you can even hire Surfboards, wetsuits etc from here at very competative rates if you want.
