Anglesey, my wildlife home

Philip lives in the coastal village of Malltraeth on the beautiful Isle of Anglesey.

His studio and home are just meters from the shore and overlook the stunning Cefni estuary and Cob, Newborough Forest and Snowdonia, where he can see and paint Anglesey’s special wildlife.

In fact, many coastal birds and wildlife like Grey Herons, Little Egrets, ducks, waders and sea-birds in their thousands, as well as Otters, are regularly just beyond his garden wall - his own personal wildlife hide, always open!

Philip’s studio on Anglesey is crammed with bird and wildlife paintings, as he works for so many different publishers, world-wide, producing work for scores of books, magazines, prints, cards, reserve maps & leaflets, calendars, conservation bodies, museums etc, as well as for many exhibitions - like the current (autumn, 2017) ‘Birds of Wales’ show at the Anglesey Heritage Gallery, Oriel Ynys Mon, by Llangefni.

(The Gallery also contains a superb collection of the wide-ranging work of the “20th century’s all-round finest Country Artist”, C. F. Tunnicliffe RA OBE, one of Philip Snow’s greatest inspirations.)
