The village of Llanfairfechan has a great beach, even better when the tide is out! The promenade is quite long, flat and in excellent condition. It has a large free car park.

There are several walks you can take along the front, you can either walk over the river and round the lake and back. Or you can walk to the nature reserve which is about two and half miles depending which path you take.

Llanfairfechan has its own nature reserve and is only a short walk from the main beach car park.

If you walk along the promenade in a westerly direction, you will come to a steel gate to keep livestock out, beyond this point you have the Glan Y Mor Elias nature reserve.

The nature reserve has some beautiful views and the saltmarsh is a magnet for many seabirds. As the tide comes in, the mini inlets fill up with seawater attracting many seabirds.
