Traeth Cymyran Beach - Near Rhosneigr
Traeth Cymyran or Cymyran beach is a beautiful long sandy beach situated on the western side of Anglesey. This beach is the grand finale after the two beautiful beaches that precede it, firstly Rhosneigr beach then the slightly quieter Traeth Crigyll or Crigyll beach.
Cymyran beach seems to start around the jagged rocks that jut out into the sea. If you didn’t know any better you’d think this was all the same beach.
Land Yachting at Traeth Cymyran
Land yachting is becoming more popular on this beach, there is almost 2 miles of sand between this beach and Traeth Crigyll.
As this beach is so long and flat it is ideal for land yachting There is also some excellent shore fishing to be had.
RAF Valley
This amazingly beautiful and remote beach is backed by sand dunes and runs parallel with RAF Valley, the RAF base where Prince William served as a helicopter pilot with 22 Squadron, from 2010 to 2013.
Excellent Fishing at Traeth Cymyran
There is some excellent fishing to be had at Traeth Cymyran, Sea Bass, Grey Mullet and Flounder are some of the more popular fish to be caught here. The tide can run up to 8 Knots past here so be careful.
