Rhoscolyn - Silver bay beach

This beautiful remote beach is also known as Traeth Llydan.

Rhoscolyn is lucky to benefit from two beautiful sandy beaches, although this beach is really only accessible from the coastal path or unless you own a lodge on the local holiday village. This beautiful oval shaped beach has a back drop of pine trees and sand dunes and stunning views of Rhosneigr beach and the Snowdonia mountain range, indeed Snowdon itself can be seen from here on a clear day.

Excellent opportunities for many water sports here especially surfing if you are fortunate enough to own a lodge on the holiday park! Otherwise its extremely remote to lug all your surfing gear to this beautiful beach. Like many of the beaches in this area your are quite close to RAF Valley where the local jets practice.
